Easy Mom & Baby Scoops 2 Awards in a Prestigious Annual Competition
At Easy Mom & Baby we just wanted to take the opportunity to shout from the rooftops VERY LOUDLY that we have won an extremely prestigious national award in the UK for two of our products. We scooped a winner platinum award and a silver award in the Mom and Baby category in the highly regarded annual’ Janey Loves’ Platinum Awards for products. All of the winners, including us, received votes from a panel of external judges and from readers of the ‘Janey Loves’ blog.
We are excited for lots of reasons. The Award Ceremony itself was a brilliant event, very glamorous, and we rubbed shoulders with some of the great and the good in the natural and eco-products world. So it was great for a small brand like Easy Mom & Baby. It was also fantastic to be recognized for the quality of our products.
One of the judges told us that they recommend we should be selling our products for a much higher price, as bamboo is a luxury fabric. But it has always been our mission to offer great quality products in bamboo fabric for the best possible price that we can give. We think it is so important that moms and their babies get the opportunity to try out bamboo fabric either 100% bamboo or one of our bamboo and organic cotton combinations. So we are happy to take a much lower profit margin on them.
Just so that you know, our winning products were the Soft n Snuggly 100% Bamboo Muslin Swaddle Blanket and the innovative Rose Quartz Baby Bonding Bracelet.
The Soft n Snuggly 100% Bamboo Muslin Swaddle Blanket was the overall winner in the mom and baby category of the awards.
Swaddling is universally recognized as comforting for a newborn baby and will help them to settle much more quickly when put down to sleep. Our 100% bamboo fabric is ultra soft and is hypoallergenic, making it great for babies with any sort of skin complaint such as eczema.
Our swaddles are very generously sized and in a lovely pretty hand printed pink heart motif for girls and a lovely blue and green elephant design for boys The swaddle can also be used as a tummy time mat, a nursing cover or a burping blanket. We have also found that some customers have come back and bought an extra swaddle to let one of their slightly older children use it as a comfort blanket.
The bamboo in our products does not use pesticides, insecticides or fertilizers. We also use safe non-toxic water based inks for the printing and the fabric is certificated to Oeko-Tex Standard 100. The swaddles are machine washable and can be tumble dried. The judges felt that they were a wonderfully luxurious eco-friendly option!
Our innovative Rose Quartz Baby Bonding Bracelet scooped a silver award also in the Mom and Baby category. This delicate bracelet is a perfect inexpensive gift for a pregnant mom or a mom with a new baby.
Rose quartz is the crystal of unconditional love and it helps the woman to form a bond with her unborn baby and to intensify the connection with the baby once it has been born. Rose quartz also helps to calm the emotions and assists with relaxation to give a peaceful night’s sleep.
Our beautiful bracelet – to be worn by the mom and not the baby – was originally developed in collaboration with a hypnobirthing practitioner in the UK. It comes already packaged in its own box for perfect gift giving.
It is also highly practical for busy, exhausted new moms, who simply switch wrists to remind where the baby nursed last.
The award was given for our new style Baby Bonding Bracelet, which is not yet available in the USA, but is coming very soon. We’ll let you know as soon as it is here. The original Baby Bonding Bracelet has been selling on both sides of the Atlantic for over 2 years now.
